| In June of 2006 Leonard Mizerek returned to France, this time to create new paintings at the invitation of the city of Dinan, in upper Brittany. Chosen as Artist in Residence by the Musée Yvonne Jean-Haffen; Maison d’artiste de la Grande Vigne, he was given a studio cottage for the month of June on the museum estate. He devoted the entire month to doing what he does best – chronicling the region’s ongoing love affair with light. The painting, "Morning Light Dinan" was made part of the museum’s permanent collection. These and other paintings will be part of Mizerek’s one-man show at the Shaw Gallery of Naples, Florida on February 9, 2007. |
